ON.energy is looking for a skilled Quality Systems Analyst with 3-7 years of experience to support the implementation and maintenance of an initial ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, supporting all quality activities related to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across the full equipment lifecycle. In this role, you will assist in designing and executing the roadmap to achieve ISO 9001 certification, automating processes for monitoring and determining the effectiveness of the QMS and reporting to management, while coordinating across all departments to formalize processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering (or a closely related technical field).
  • 3-7 years’ experience in quality systems management, specifically within an ISO 9001 environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and quality analysis problem-solving tools (CAPA, 8D, SPC, FMEA).
  • Strong working knowledge with Continual Improvement Processes and Tools and Processes (Six Sigma - DMAIC, Kaizan, PDCA).
  • Strong proficiency in QMS software, document management systems, and data analysis tools (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, Tableau).
  • Strong proficiency with key Microsoft platforms (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Planner) and AI platforms (e.g. ChatGPT).
  • Strong proficiency in Process and Technical Procedure writing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (IEEE, UL, IEC, ISO 9001, NEC) and general equipment test protocols.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%) to vendor locations (domestic and international) and project sites.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities; capable of interfacing effectively with customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with electrical power systems, BESS, inverters, transformers, switchgear, or other similar equipment is preferred.
  • CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Continual Improvement through , Collaboration, One-Company, One-QMS.
  • Support the definition, documentation, and maintenance of Quality processes in compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable requirements.
  • Monitor Performance Metrics and ensure the effectiveness of the QMS Program.
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are properly maintained and executed, including the Audit Planning and Reporting documentation.
  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. Develop future plans for transitioning from ISO 9001:2015 to ISO 9001:2026 standards.
  • Collaborate with Departments to develop, update, and control quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct internal quality audits to identify gaps in processes and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and act as a primary point of contact during surveillance or certification audits.
  • Support new and existing customer and supplier process audits to ensure alignment with ISO 9001 and other company standards / requirements.
  • Monitor key quality metrics (KPIs), ISO 9001:2015 Quality Objectives, defect rates, customer complaints, and report findings to management.
  • Facilitate mandatory Management Review Data collection and report findings to management.
  • Facilitate Corrective Action Management, including root cause analysis (Fishbone / Ishikawa, 5-Why, Pareto Analysis) for non-conformances, and track corrective/preventive actions (CAR) to closure.
  • Perform regular training and support of employees on QMS processes, procedures, and quality standards.
