About The Position

Quality Supervisor Sofidel America, part of the global Sofidel Group, is a leading manufacturer of tissue paper products for hygienic and household use. Guided by a strong commitment to sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence, Sofidel strives to reduce environmental impact while supporting the communities in which we operate. We are currently seeking a Quality Supervisor to join our team at Sofidel Duncan, SC. This position plays a key role in maintaining and improving product quality and compliance within the plant. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and committed to driving continuous improvement within a stable and growing organization. The Quality Supervisor supports the Regional Quality Manager in implementing, monitoring, and improving the site’s Quality Management System and Product Safety System in alignment with group and local procedures. This role ensures that all products meet Sofidel’s quality standards and comply with federal, state, and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably within manufacturing or paper/tissue production.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, BRCGS Systems and HACCP principles.
  • Familiarity with internal and external audit processes.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the site Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and BRCGS Consumer Product standards.
  • Supervise daily quality control activities, including product testing, documentation, and defect elimination processes.
  • Perform routine internal inspections and assist with external audits.
  • Review quality reports and assist with corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Maintain laboratory operations, ensuring proper use and calibration of testing equipment.
  • Monitor product quality performance and support process improvements to meet specifications.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address non-conformities and promote quality awareness.
  • Assist in the training and development of quality technicians and operators.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety and product safety requirements.
  • Support the Quality Director with reporting, analysis, and other assigned duties.
