About The Position

Eaton’s division is currently seeking a Quality Supervisor. The expected annual salary range for this role is $137,550 - $145,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: Develop effective upstream preventive quality improvement processes and controls and assure effective reactions and corrections to nonconforming conditions to deliver highest quality to external and internal customers. Work as a supervisor of quality technicians and partner with the broader cross-functional value stream to continually improve quality process, delivering measured reduction of defect rates and costs. Assure customer issues are resolved effectively with minimal interruption in service. Design, develop, and oversee documentation and implementation of quality management systems as dictated by product, contract, business, and other requirements. Support and oversee implementation of ISO 9000 and Eaton Quality System requirements. Utilize quality methods and statistical tools. Work closely with manufacturing engineering relative to all quality issues. Design, implement, and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) and effective controls on key processes, as well as other applications for the purpose of collecting and utilizing quality related information. Oversee supplier quality assurance activities as appropriate for the assigned areas of responsibility. Partner with local and supplier quality team on activities related to the assigned areas of responsibility. Be directly responsible and accountable for performance of duties, having the authority to take necessary action to address any quality issues. Interface with customers, suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders in both the plant and at customer locations to enhance their perception and understanding of the plant Quality systems. Provide direction to inspection team partners as necessary to assure quality products to customers. Drive error-proofing and control solutions at the source to reduce downstream inspections and reduce recurring failures. Participate in Eaton Pro-Launch processes, providing quality functional inputs.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a directly related technical field plus five (5) years of experience in a quality, manufacturing, or engineering function within a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently): Identifying, evaluating and implementing cost effective resolution of complex Quality issues arising in sales, engineering, materials, and manufacturing
  • Resolving customer product warranty issues, including the customer’s own improper application or operation of product shipped
  • In-depth research of product design, supplier processes, internal manufacturing processes, and customer applications to properly achieve resolution of Quality and product warranty issues
  • Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of quality control standards and procedures
  • Facilitating internal quality audits to maintain compliance with industry standards
  • Implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality
  • Ensuring environmental and safety standards are met in the quality control process
  • Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently): Facilitating Field Campaigns when required for quality escapes and develop containment actions to replace suspect materials assuring customer needs met and minimizing adverse impacts
  • Facilitating external quality audits to maintain compliance with industry standards
