About The Position

The Quality Supervisor leads daily quality operations within the facility, ensuring that products, processes, and team performance meet internal standards and customer expectations. This role oversees quality inspectors and technicians, supports manufacturing activities, drives root‑cause and corrective actions, and ensures compliance to ISO9001 and other quality management requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related discipline preferred (equivalent experience considered).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, CAPA).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings/blueprints and apply GD&T principles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; familiar with ERP systems.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gages, indicators, and gage blocks.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain composure.

Nice To Haves

  • Internal Auditor qualification (ISO9001) preferred.
  • Experience in a component or assembly manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop quality inspectors and technicians to ensure high performance, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Schedule and coordinate daily inspection activities (incoming, in‑process, and final).
  • Provide ongoing training in inspection methods, documentation, work instructions, and quality procedures.
  • Conduct performance feedback discussions and support professional development.
  • Maintain and manage the ISO9001 quality management system.
  • Represent the site for ISO9001 surveillance audits.
  • Oversee the execution, documentation, and follow‑up of inspections and audits.
  • Manage and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Manage internal QMS audits and audit schedules.
  • Maintain FM, ATEX and CSA certifications including management representation in surveillance audits.
  • Maintain calibration schedules and ensure timely calibration of inspection and test equipment.
  • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date quality records including inspection results, NCRs, calibration records, and audit findings.
  • Lead structured problem-solving activities (8D, CAPA, 5 Whys) to address internal, supplier, and customer quality issues.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions through collaboration with process owners and manufacturing teams.
  • Analyze quality data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and reduce defects.
  • Champion quality awareness across the facility using visual metrics and communication tools
  • Oversee the pre-production approval process (PPAP) for new and/or revised components.
  • Support the investigation and resolution of customer complaints, returns, and nonconformances.
  • Participate in supplier performance discussions and escalate quality concerns when necessary.
  • Assist with qualification of new suppliers, components, and process changes.
