About The Position

The Quality Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for leading, supporting, and sustaining continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, process capability, and operational efficiency within the manufacturing plant. This role applies quality engineering principles, data analysis, and CI methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) to reduce defects, improve processes, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements. Must maintain confidentiality of all company and customer information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field required.
  • 3–7 years of experience in quality engineering or continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading CI projects with measurable results.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis and structured problem solving.
  • Experience with SPC, statistical analysis, and quality tools.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong data analysis, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical thinking.
  • Effective facilitator and change agent.
  • Collaborative and able to influence across functions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Resilience: Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.

Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on defect reduction, process capability improvement, and waste elimination with cross functional teams.
  • Responsible for Material Review Board (MRB) and Scrap processes in Salcomp USA.
  • Apply Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies (DMAIC, PDCA, A3, 8D) into Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Lead and coordinate the implementation of Project initiatives like 6S assessments (5’s + Safety), Layer Process audits (LPA).
  • Analyze quality and production data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support development and optimization of Process controls and promote documentation through Control plans, PFMEA, Procedures and Work Instruction updates.
  • Collect, analyze, and report key quality and CI metrics: MRB, Scrap, 6S assessments, SWOT analysis plans, CI projects.
  • Support and drive the implementation of SWOT analysis with each Head of Department for Management review.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to communicate improvement progress to leadership.
  • Use statistical tools and SPC to monitor process performance.
  • Support and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Participate in internal audits and support external audits (customer, certification).
  • Ensure CI activities are aligned with QMS processes and documented information.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Production teams.
  • Facilitate CI workshops, Kaizen events, and problem-solving sessions.
  • Provide coaching and training to teams on CI tools and quality best practices.
  • Train employees on Lean, Six Sigma, and quality improvement tools.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.
