Provides strategic oversight for health care quality Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs) and initiatives aligned with all business lines and projects with organizational strategies and values.

Requirements

  • 5+ years clinical and/or managed care experience in the healthcare industry and quality management preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Project Management experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • Professional Project Management Certification
  • Proficient with Project Management tools and tracking systems
  • Adept at collaboration, execution and delivery

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes and makes recommendations for the design, development, and implementation strategy of quality improvement projects, and initiatives.
  • Leads all Performance Improvement workgroups, data collection, monitors status of initiatives/programs and completes State/HSAG PIP templates for submission.
  • Assists Senior Quality Manager and Director with coordination and implementation of interventions to increase HEDIS, CAHPS, AAA, P4P Metric improvement projects and designated health measures for the Plan.
  • Develops documentation templates and systems to support and monitor QM projects and initiatives.
  • Support the coordination of corporate compliance and external surveys as needed.
  • Support the project life cycle including requirements gathering, creation of project plans and schedules, manage resources, MDHHS compliance projects, and facilitate project execution, deployment, and closure.
  • Assists with coordination of data requests and ongoing data management for PIP and QI project management.
  • Participate in vendor oversight meetings with contracted vendors.
  • Assists with leading cross functional teams to assist business units in integrating quality into their strategic and operational plans.
  • Provides updates to Director and leadership on assigned projects in the Quality Improvement work plan; may be required to draft presentations on project status and/or outcomes.
