The Quality Program Manager at UChicago Medicine plays a crucial role in the Quality Performance Improvement Department, focusing on enhancing patient-centered care through strategic planning and project management. This position involves collaborating with clinical and operational leaders to implement sustainable improvements, ensuring the organization practices evidence-based care and transforms healthcare delivery.   • Assist in the strategic planning, development, and maintenance of quality plans tied to long-term goals.
  • Partner with the quality physician lead to formulate long-term strategic plans and annual goals.
  • Oversee the prioritization and portfolio of quality projects in partnership with the QPI Assistant Director and area quality leaders.
  • Execute project plans and provide daily support for large strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate and oversee project management of projects within the program.
  • Identify and communicate alignment and impact of project plans on related projects.
  • Design a comprehensive approach to meet project objectives using QI and PI tools.
  • Apply novel methods to enable project success.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance on QI tools and approaches.
  • Teach QI to healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and carry out strategies for facilitating large, complex meetings.
  • Create coherent, actionable summaries from stakeholder input during meetings.
  • Collaborate with data teams to ensure data and analytics needs are met for assigned projects.
  • Identify data collection and analysis needs and design efficient plans.
  • Bachelor's degree in health care, Engineering, or Performance Improvement field or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years' experience in healthcare, performance improvement, project management, or other advanced positions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff.
  • Experience facilitating groups with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation and maintain productive relationships with leaders.
  • Knowledge of performance improvement techniques and methodologies.
  • Ability to lead complex, interrelated projects using program management tools.
  • Ability to set strategic vision for programs and be accountable for quality-related operations.
  • Ability to manage, interpret, and present data.
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously in a changing environment.
  • Master's degree in public health, Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or another health care-related field.
  • 5-7 years' Performance Improvement experience in a Hospital or large Health System.
