About The Position

Subject matter expert leading the cardiology OR cardiac/vascular surgery quality teams for the Toll Heart and Vascular Institute. Working with enterprise & divisional and HVI leadership to establish/refine quality program to address local, sub-specialty and enterprise quality initiatives Establish and manage a team of specialty focused quality and PI professionals to drive improvement across the heart and vascular service. Collaborate with other HVI stakeholders to establish a best-in-class data management practice to drive patient care, financial performance and reputation of the organization Work to resolve issues, enhance HIT/EHRs adoption/satisfaction, drive standardization of clinical workflows, utilize data metrics to solve operations problems, and promote innovation while continually working to improve the integrity of clinical data as well as the associated workflow processes. Partner with Quality and Outcomes professionals to track outcomes. Mentor and coach subordinate team members on quality program to develop leadership skills and council knowledge. Coordinate local progress with the system level activities, initiatives, and councils

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or other appropriate discipline required.
  • 5 years laboratory experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field preferred.
  • QLS - Qualification in Laboratory Safety - American Society for Clinical Pathology preferred.
