Quality Production Specialist
About The Position
Quality Production Specialist Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Quality Production Specialist to support the 787 Final Assembly & Delivery Material Review Board Designee (MRBD) Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 2nd shift. In this role, you will review and validate product non-conformances, perform analysis to evaluate product quality, and conduct failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components. Additionally, you will train and mentor fellow employees, perform root cause analysis, develop corrective/preventive actions, and Project Manage quality initiatives to support 787 production improvements. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in North Charleston, SC.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- 3+ years of experience in a role that required you to analyze and summarize raw data from various sources, and recommend executable action plans
- 3+ years of experience in Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, linking worksheets)
- 2+ years of experience working with Velocity
- 2+ years of experience in a production environment
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Experience working with CMES
- Experience with managing quality improvement projects
- Experience in working defect reduction strategies within a cross-functional environment
- Boeing 787 Program Experience
- 3+ years of experience working on MRB (Materials Review Board) activities related to aircraft structures
- Aerospace, Fabrication, and/or Manufacturing experience
Responsibilities
- Provides guidance for reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements
- Oversees the analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations and processes.
- Guides the review of production plans.
- Applies advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
- Guides or provides assistance in the root cause analysis of nonconformance.
- Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field.
- Establishes process and product improvements by implementing technical initiatives.
- Oversees the process of problem resolution to ensure effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
- Provides oversight of the corrective/preventive action plans to assure timely completion.
- Reviews and oversees approval of Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes.
- Provides direction for validation of corrective action to assure causes of nonconformance has been eliminated.
- Monitors the groups' performance of the verification activity.
- Creates formal analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal /external distribution.
- Project Manages quality initiatives to support 787 production improvements
- Works under general supervision.
