About The Position

IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, delivering sustainable innovations that elevate everyday products. This role is based in South Brunswick, NJ, and involves supporting daily quality and food safety operations on the plant floor. The specialist will assist the Quality Assurance Supervisor in maintaining site compliance and will be part of a detail-oriented, compliance-driven, collaborative team focused on making a real impact in food safety excellence. The position aims to take skills to the next level and make a real impact within the organization.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting quality and food safety programs in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of FSMA, HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and SSOPs
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work hands-on and interface directly with plant floor teams
  • Experience training employees and contractors on food safety practices
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to support investigations and corrective actions
  • Effective communication skills across multiple functions
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and compliance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in FDA-regulated food or ingredient manufacturing
  • Active participation in food safety or quality committees
  • Involvement in equipment commissioning or process validation

Responsibilities

  • Support daily quality and food safety operations on the plant floor
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Supervisor in maintaining site compliance
  • Maintain and update Food Safety Plans in accordance with FSMA
  • Support development and implementation of HACCP, SOPs, and SSOPs
  • Participate in food safety and quality committees, including allergen control, sanitation, and traceability
  • Partner with Production and Maintenance to troubleshoot quality issues
  • Support equipment commissioning and process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records for FDA and regulatory compliance
  • Interact cross-functionally to support audits and inspections as needed
