Summary of Position: Quality Engineer supports product development and continuous improvement by analyzing customer feedback, identifying root causes of product pain points, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the overall product experience. This role contributes to risk management, testing, and quality planning throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in a quality engineering role
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing; Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communicator and team collaborator
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (e.g., China, Mexico)
  • Experience in manufacturing and product testing environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support Ratings & Reviews Product analysis to identify product improvement opportunities
  • Conduct root cause analysis using customer feedback, internal test data, and problem-solving techniques
  • Collaborate with Test Engineering, Quality, and NPI teams to improve First Pass Yields at the CM level
  • Lead quality risk management activities: including NPD/ODM Quality Test Plans and DFMEA design reviews
  • Lead sustaining/Rating and Review project meetings and drive solutions to resolve quality/design issues
  • Coordinate with the China Quality team to address supplier-related quality concerns
  • Develop and maintain Quality Test Plans (QTP’s) for new NPD/ODM product development projects
  • Create and update Continuous Improvement Documents (CID’s) to drive improvements for future NPD
  • Develop, maintain and track product improvements via the Ratings and Review Product Briefs
  • Support quality assurance for domestic and international contract manufacturers
  • Analyze and act on product return data from Customer Care
  • Contribute to quality goals and metrics by driving DFMEA reviews and Ratings & Review improvements
