KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • LMA • QMS • Inspection • Continuous Improvement KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintenance and continuous improvement of the QMS at Brooksville, FL facility to ensure QMS is updated to comply with newly released ISO standards. Current standards certified: ISO 9001 & ISO 13485. • Assist with internal audits at Port Richey, Brooksville, and Florida Finishing facilities in compliance with ISO standards or NADCAP standard at Florida Finishing. • Assist with driving continuous improvement strategies with focus on process improvements and the QMS. • Facilitate Advanced Product Quality Planning techniques to accomplish organizational product quality levels, utilizing company metrics and visual aids to heighten employee awareness downstream. • Interface with Program Managers, Engineering and Operations within team environment to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved data. • Mentor and Support the First Article Inspector and Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the QMS and customer product specifications. • Quality Department interface with our customers related to all customer requirements; such as, PPAP’s, Validations (IQ, OQ, PQ), complaints, SCAR’s, CAR’s, customer on-site audits and product quality requirements. • Manage directly product inspection activities, FAI’s, PPAP’s, Validation’s, In-Process, and final inspections. • Review and approve employee evaluations. • Manage and encourage development of employees including counseling and motivation. • Represents and promotes the goodwill and interests of the organization throughout the community. LMA RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for direct supervision, coordination, performance and evaluation of the First Article Inspector and QA Inspectors (floor inspector and final inspector). • Responsible for the supervisory activities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. • Responsibilities include meeting company goals and metrics, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraisals, rewarding and disciplining employees. QUALITIES FOR SUCCESS: • Demonstrates Seaway Plastics Core Values o We are customer focused o We execute o We win together o We are respectful • 4yr degree in Engineering or Technical discipline; or combination of education and experience • Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer in a Manufacturing Environment. • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is recommended. • Self-starter with the ability to motivate others. • Leader who is able to make decisions, but also comfortable delegating decision making where appropriate. • Good written and oral communication skills. • Experienced in good manufacturing practices and quality initiatives and programs. • In-depth experience with QMS systems including ISO 13485. • Ability to develop and maintain a team oriented work environment. • Strong working knowledge of injection molding processes. • Demonstrated experience at implementing continuous improvement, lean or other process improvement techniques. • Strategic thinker with experience in statistical analysis and identifying trends through data. • Travel to other worksites or customer locations: 20% (Must have a personal vehicle with valid driver license) • Limited physical effort, able to carry at least 30lbs • Duties are usually performed seated.
