The Quality, Performance Improvement Director is responsible for the work process of the Quality and Performance Improvement Department and the implementation of the Hospital-Wide Performance Improvement and Assessment Program. Responsibilities will include collaboration with Hospital Administration to plan, organize, direct, and lead the Hospital-Wide Quality Assessment Performance Improvement Program (QAPI). The Director will have demonstrated experience with performance and quality management principles and the application of system design, reengineering, project management, quality improvement, outcomes measurement and statistical analysis. Is responsible for meeting regulatory requirements for the collection and reporting of required internal and external quality data outcomes. Will utilize strong interpersonal and professional communication skills including education skills with hospital staff and physicians and will be able to speak to enhancing quality of care and safety for patients and staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • Demonstrated experience with performance and quality management principles and the application of system design, reengineering, project management, quality improvement, outcomes measurement and statistical analysis.
  • Requires clinical quality data collection and analysis experience.
  • Requires strong interpersonal communication skills with proven experience making formal presentations at the hospital executive and medical staff leadership level.
  • Previous successful participation in accreditation survey in the area of Quality Management.
  • Requires strong computer and data collection and analysis skills.
  • Requires current California Board of Registered Nurse Licensure

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer Master's Degree in related field.
  • Prefer minimum three years recent supervisorial experience in acute care, critical care or nursing education with quality improvement process knowledge and experience with core measures process improvement.
  • Certification as Professional in Healthcare Quality Preferred.
