About The Position

The Director of Performance Improvement plans, coordinates, directs and carries out activities related to the facility-wide performance and quality improvement program and processes. Ensures that the facility is in compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, AHCA, OSHA and other regulatory agencies standards.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required.
Five (5) years clinical experience in a psychiatric inpatient facility with knowledge of Performance Improvement/Quality Management required.
Two (2) years experience in clinical and administrative supervision required.
A strong knowledge of The Joint Commission. CMS, AHCA, OSHA standards and any other applicable federal and start laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
Excellent communication skills. Ability to maintain effective working relationships, inter-departmentally, intra-departmentally, and with the medical staff.

Nice To Haves

Bachelors Degree in nursing or a mental health related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
Masters Degree preferred.
Current licensure by the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Therapist preferred
Cerner experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

Oversees the activities directly related to the identification, evaluation and analysis of the performance and quality improvement activities for the facility.
Documents and communicates key performance and quality improvement areas for the facility.
Analyzes, creates and maintains quality data systems.
Recommends ways to improve performance and clinical outcomes based on the data.
Gathers performance and quality improvement data from internal or external resources.
