About The Position

In this role, you will work closely with cross‑functional partners and global counterparts to ensure our quality systems consistently support business goals and meet stringent regulatory expectations. You’ll play a key role in strengthening our Quality Operations function and contributing to the continuous improvement of our global quality framework. The Role & Your Impact As a Quality Operations Specialist, you will support and maintain Quality Operations for the Blair Facility with a strong focus on Enzymes. You will collaborate across departments, customers, and authorities to ensure compliance with Novonesis’ Quality programs, certifications, and regulatory requirements. Your work will directly influence product integrity, process reliability, and overall site compliance.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree with 2+ years of industry experience in quality‑related programs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, regulatory frameworks, and certification standards.
  • Proven capability to work independently with minimal day‑to‑day supervision.
  • High work ethic, learning orientation, and commitment to supporting Quality, EHS, and site compliance expectations (QES Responsibility).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GMP/HACCP program maintenance.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other quality‑related digital systems.
  • Strong analytical and root‑cause investigation skills.
  • Interest in continuous improvement methodologies and global quality harmonization.

Responsibilities

  • Support product and process quality activities, including customer complaints, product approvals, NCRs, and SAP workflows.
  • Execute RM management tasks such as risk assessments, Kosher & Halal management, supplier complaints, and food/feed fraud oversight.
  • Contribute to regulatory and certification compliance efforts involving audits, food/feed safety and defense, GMP, and HACCP.
  • Drive and support continual improvement of quality systems.
  • Partner with local and global counterparts to align and standardize critical quality processes.
  • Work independently on assigned tasks while supporting site-wide quality initiatives.
