About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Quality Operations Specialist to support Final Assembly/FGI & Composite Fabrication (AFT) Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift. Serving as a Chief Inspector for 787 Quality, this position provides guidance on product and process quality-related issues, opportunities, and risks that require quality assurance technical expertise. This role also evaluates and implements inspection processes that comply with company and regulatory agency (FAA, DOD, etc.) requirements. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite. This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • 5+ years of experience conducting reviews, assessments, and audits of business process documentation
  • 5+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications

  • Previous work in aerospace, manufacturing, quality or another highly regulated industry

Responsibilities

  • Completes the development and implementation of Quality inspection processes within site business units
  • Provide input on standardized processes, tools, and training curricula for our Quality organizations across business units
  • Participates in the analysis of the impact of production system changes to Quality inspection processes, while acting as a liaison across functional groups on quality related issues and coordinating efforts to improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Contributes to the benchmarking of industry best practices and advises on enterprise methods for conducting product and process validations
  • Provides guidance on regulatory matters and examines emergent technical issues
  • Works with general direction
