In this context we are looking for a Quality Manager/Chief Inspector to join our Quality Team in Miami, Fl.

Requirements

  • Equipped with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, paired with 8+ years of aviation experience with at least one year in quality assurance function.
  • Background as aircraft mechanic or engineer, preferred
  • Well versed in airworthiness authorities' regulatory requirements, such as, FAR145, EASA145, CCAR145 and SAR145.
  • Knowledge of AS9100/AS9120/ISO9001 quality system requirements.
  • Technically knowledgeable and capable of grasping detailed engineering and quality concepts.
  • Comprehensive understanding of FAA Part 21 Subpart O, 14 CFR Part 43, and TSO manufacturing requirements.
  • Ability to analyze inspection findings, and determine best case analysis.
  • Communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
  • Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
  • Travel: able to travel independently
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
  • Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visit, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.

Responsibilities

  • Defining and establishing the policies and procedures that govern the development, revision, and distribution of this manual.
  • Defining and establishing the standards and procedures to qualify and survey vendors/suppliers.
  • Administration of the Internal Auditing and Surveillance Programs.
  • Administration of SATAIR’s FAA Approved Training Program
  • Maintaining the record keeping system for reports and records required by 14 CFR 145.219 and 14 CFR 145.221.
  • Monitoring, oversight and improvement of all quality system policies/procedures to achieve and sustain all required certifications.
  • Enforcing compliance with SATAIR’s RSQM, through utilization of established and proven quality audit and corrective action systems and procedures.
  • Ensuring contract maintenance follows all SATAIR procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements and that lists of contract functions and facilities are maintained.
  • Ensuring that any change to the maintenance functions SATAIR contracts out receives FAA approval before the effective date of the change.
  • Lead and drive small projects to improve the process efficiency with the support of the global process community
  • Ensure all manufacturing and inspection processes comply with FAA regulations, Part 21, TSO, EATON ACES requirements, and company procedures.
  • Support the development (review, approval and implementation) of process documentation, inspection plans, and test procedures for hose assemblies and subcomponents.
  • Translate aerospace design requirements into robust process controls across development & production
  • Plan and implement QA measures for aircraft hose manufacturing
