Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • At least 3 years of experience with a quality/manufacturing setting, which must include at least 1 year of experience operating a CMM, preferably Zeiss
  • A demonstrated expertise in the understanding of GD&T and drawing interpretation

Responsibilities

  • Function as an aid to the manufacturing process, providing general CMM inspector support for fabricated or machined parts from various departments as required in the shop
  • Run CMM inspection programs and performs manual inspection for simple to complex parts, components, and assemblies while assuring the integrity of CMM inspection results.
  • Assist machinists in the use and care of inspection equipment, interpretation of drawings and other quality related activities such as perform a wide variety of precision inspection and checking operations work from complicated drawings, operation sheets, verbal instructions, engineering and military specifications work involving a considerable number of complicated set-ups on surface plate using height gauge, gauge blocks, indicators and various types of gauging equipment.
  • Inspect complex parts with multiple features
  • Perform daily machine maintenance including calibration and probe qualifications
