Oil States Piper Valve is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position of QUALITY MANAGER OKLAHOMA CITY, OK In our organization, the Quality Manager has a critical and challenging role in helping achieve innovation and meeting our commitments by developing and maintaining quality standards for OSI-OKC Piper’s Quality Management System (QMS), products, parts, and services that comply with applicable industrial standards, licensing, and customer requirements resulting in more efficient production.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a demonstrated knowledge of applicable industry standards to include but not limited to ISO and API.
  • Strong working knowledge of NDT (Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic, and Radiography) processes.
  • Familiarity with welding specifications and requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of company personnel, vendors, and customers.
  • Strong problem-solving and business acumen skills.
  • Strong coaching and training skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a demonstrated knowledge of OSI-OKC Piper product lines and valve industry standards.
  • Ability to establish and maintain constructive working relationships with people.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects daily in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to speak, write and read English.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team on a broad variety of projects.
  • Willingness to work additional hours to meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Eight (8) years of experience in a Quality role preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (Assembly, Testing, and/or CNC Machining).
  • Three (3) years Supervisory experience.
  • Must obtain and maintain Authorized Driver status as defined by the Oil States Company Vehicles and Drivers policy.

  • Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor the performance of the QMS to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable industrial standards and licensing.
  • Review and evaluate the performance of the QMS to ensure all system aspects are adequate to maintain OSI-OKC Piper quality standards.
  • Analyze QMS performance to identify opportunities for improvements including but not limited to employee training, process development, and/or product changes and make recommendations to OSI-OKC Piper leadership as appropriate.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the appropriate staff members, departments, and vendors to resolve any quality related complaints and/or issues to include customer complaints to include but not limited to developing, recommending, and monitoring corrective and preventive action processes.
  • Coordinate, conduct, and/or support internal and external audit activities to ensure that OSI-OKC Piper processes remain in compliance with the QMS, applicable industry standards, and licensing including but not limited to evaluating audit findings and implementing corrective actions.
  • Create and implement inspection and other quality procedures relating to materials and processes involved in production to ensure the products, parts, and services satisfy customer specifications and comply with industrial standards.
  • Assign projects to inspection staff based upon individual skill level and complexity of the project.
  • Monitor work performed to ensure all required AQL testing is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established quality procedures.
  • Provide direct supervision of Quality department personnel to include training, assigning tasks, performance appraisals, and monitoring procedures to ensure that processes are completed in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Develop and communicate performance expectations and measure success against established standards.
  • Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.
  • Directly communicate with regulatory agencies and customers to stay current of all codes, comply with specifications, and ensure standards are met.
  • Provide quality training across all functional departments as needed.
  • Supervise OSI-OKC Piper documentation practices with regards to the QMS, applicable industry standards and licensing, and/or Master Control.
  • Effectively and efficiently use time to safely perform duties.
  • Complete all paperwork in required manner and time.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn to produce new products, use new procedures, and embrace and support change.
  • Follow and support established HSE programs.
  • Report any unsafe situations to appropriate Management Team member if necessary.
  • All other duties or tasks as assigned.
