About The Position

Akima Facilites Operations is looking for a Quality Manager to support EAGLE LSS contract in Fort Hood, Texas. Come join this dynamic team and be part of this critical mission! Apply today! The Quality Manager (QM) is the principal assistant to the EAGLE Contract Project Manager on all matters pertaining to quality assurance activities. The QM will ensure that customer requirements and expectations have been accurately identified and that the organization is meeting or exceeding customer expectations. This role also extends to determining how customers' expectations will change over time and how the organization must adjust to meet these changing expecations. Additionally, the QM is responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of a customer-focused culture within the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience performing quality control in an industrial and/or military environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in administration, management, or execution of other work related to International Organization for Standard (ISO) programs or operations, or comparable quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of Army quality functions.
  • Ability to establish program objectives or performance goals and assess progress.
  • Possess the appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
  • Proficient in standard business office software.
  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
  • Able to receive a favorable Tier 1 investigation and obtain and maintain a CAC.

Responsibilities

  • Championing, support or leading quality improvement initiatives.
  • Bringing together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to formulate and agree on comprehensive quality procedures.
  • Ensuring that all managers process owners and supervisors develop and maintain their part of the quality management system.
  • Collating and analyzing performance data against defined parameters.
  • Monitoring and advising on how the quality system is performing, which may often include the publication of statistics regarding company performance against set measures.
  • Involvement in developing the quality goals and targets in the organization's strategic plan.
  • Operating independently from the local management with a direct line of communication to the corporate Quality Director/VP, Logistics and an informative relationship with project management.
  • Ensuring ISO compliance.
