About The Position

The Quality Manager is responsible for managing the quality systems and supplier quality programs to ensure products meet all internal standards, cGMP requirements, and regulatory expectations. This role partners cross-functionally to drive compliance, manage risk, and support continuous improvement across the product lifecycle. The Quality Manager plays a key leadership role in supplier management, audit oversight, issue resolution, and performance management while contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Quality Management System at The Honest Company . The ideal candidate is a proactive quality leader with strong supply chain and regulatory knowledge. The role balances hands-on quality execution with strategic thinking, data-driven decision making, and a continuous improvement mindset to support business growth and product integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in science or a related field).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance within consumer products, cosmetics, OTC, or pharmaceutical industries, with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
• Prior experience with Quality Management Platforms preferred, including Veeva QualityOne.
• Strong experience working in a cGMP-regulated environment.
• Strong working knowledge of quality systems, supplier management, auditing, risk management, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and process-development skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and build strong cross-functional and external partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Honest Quality Management System to ensure compliance and improvement with internal programs, cGMP requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Manage the qualification, onboarding and continuous monitoring of suppliers by assessing quality systems, cGMP compliance, and technical and manufacturing capabilities in partnership with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee and execute the supplier audit program, including audit planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up activities.
• Develop strong partnerships with suppliers to ensure on-going compliance with The Honest Company’s quality standards and to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership for the investigation and resolution of quality issues, including non-conformances, deviations, investigations, and Supplier Corrective and Preventive Actions (SCARs).
• Lead quality risk management activities, including supplier risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Manage and support development of quality metrics, including Supplier Quality Scorecards, quality, key performance indicators (KPIs), etc.
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, R&D, Regulatory, Procurement, Suppliers and others to proactively manage quality risks and support business objectives.
• Guide internal team members and stakeholders on supplier quality expectations, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
