About The Position

Under direction of the VP of Operational Excellence and Director of Quality, the Quality Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Quality with maintaining and improving our Quality program to ensure compliance with all elements of the Quality Management System (QMS) and industry standards, including ISO 9001 and any other compliance requirements to maintain customer satisfaction. They are also responsible for assisting the Director of Quality with assuring quality products and processes by establishing and enforcing quality standards. The duties shall include but not be limited to the following: Directing activities of assigned Quality Engineers, Quality technicians, inspectors, and auditors. Quality Manager is empowered to stop production if critical requirements are not met. Work with engineering to develop inspection and sampling techniques, as well as quality control plans. Verify products to meet specifications and customer requirements, as well as ensuring adherence to specifications, standards, and customer requirements. Develop and implement methods to inspect, test, and evaluate products. Establish clear procedures for product inspections, tests, and sampling. Work with Manufacturing to define quality checkpoints throughout the process to ensure implementation of Quality at the source. Responsible for conducting internal and external audits. Quality System Administration- Ensuring organizational compliance and implementation of the following (but not limited to): NCR’s & MRB activity, including control and disposition of Non-Conforming Material Customer complaint investigation and follow-ups. Corrective actions and risk management Root Cause analysis & problem-solving techniques Will be required to interface with both customers and suppliers worldwide. Generates SOPs, Standard Work, ECRs, and other necessary documentation to comply with the Quality Management System. Collaborate with management and front-line staff to achieve quality results through implementation of Quality at the source. Proactively identify any areas where improvements can be made in product and process quality from monitoring and analyzing quality metrics.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • A Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management position.
  • Must be computer literate in MS Office Suite and Infor knowledge is a plus.
  • Proven project management and leadership skills with ability to work multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Quality certification required. If candidate does not have a quality certification, it must be achieved within the first year of employment.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to engage a cross functional team towards a desired outcome.
  • Must have ability to manage personnel in an effective professional manner with the goal of developing staff.
  • Must have a complete understanding of Quality Management Systems and tools that include ISO 9001, as well as lean tools.
  • ISO 9001 auditor training is preferred.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including an emphasis on safety and actively promotes Continuous Improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team oriented collaborative environment.
  • Be able to perform duties in an ever-changing fast paced environment.
  • Accept direction and projects from the VP of Operational Excellence & Director of Quality.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
