Quality Lineside Inspector - short-term contract
About The Position
Trigo Quality Solutions are currently hiring Quality Inspectors for a short-term, 3-month project supporting inspection activities at a manufacturing facility in Plymouth, MI . This opportunity is ideal for individuals with prior inspection or manufacturing quality experience who are detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Assignment Details Contract Length: Approximately 3 months Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Onsite Location: Plymouth, MI Schedule: Monday–Friday or weekend shifts depending on assignment Overtime may be available based on project needs Monday - Friday 1st Shift 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM 2nd Shift 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM 3rd Shift (Weekend Schedule) Friday & Saturday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Sunday & Monday: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Requirements
- Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform inspections for extended periods
- Dependable attendance and ability to work assigned schedule
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in a contract role
Nice To Haves
- Experience inspecting painted surfaces or cosmetic finishes is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections of painted and unpainted parts
- Identify cosmetic defects, damage, or nonconforming conditions
- Report and document damaged or defective parts accurately
- Follow inspection procedures and customer quality requirements
- Maintain accurate inspection records and reporting documentation
- Communicate findings clearly with onsite leadership and project teams
- Support containment or sorting activities as required
- Follow all site safety guidelines and procedures
- Inspection performed directly on production parts within a manufacturing environment
