About The Position

Provide ongoing support to all product certification activity by performing specific testing on finished cable, sets, components and materials.

Requirements

• HS graduate
• 7 to 10 years progressive experience in product testing or related position.
• Must know how to use an access database, excel, word and outlook.
• Must possess strong product knowledge of ignition wire and be highly detailed oriented.
• Report all potential hazards and/or accidents immediately.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in developing and interpreting testing certification requirements including developing innovative testing methodology and apparatus.
• Perform SAE, ISO, customer specific and all other physical product and material testing to assure compliance to all requirements is obtained and maintained.
• Perform testing on competitor products, new raw material and components and record results.
• Document all testing results and provide interpretation of results with recommendations.
• Facilitate the development of detailed work instructions and key quality characteristics. Maintain files and record test results.
• Perform specific quality analysis as needed in order to resolve extrusion and assembly related processing and quality problems.
• Develop, schedule and maintain calibration activities for lab and other measurement tools and devices.
• Support and participate in Team Oriented Problem Solving activities and actively participate in comprehensive cost reduction activities.
• Complete all assigned project work in an accurate and timely manner.
• Supports the product design process with the applicable tools and techniques that are inherent in the job skills requirements for this job description.
