About The Position

Our internships are designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of the department you’re placed in, as well as an overview of every department’s contribution to our business. The Quality Intern will support the Quality team in maintaining and improving the organization’s Quality Management System. This role provides hands-on experience in quality processes, laboratory testing, documentation control, and supplier and customer quality requirements. Working closely with experienced quality professionals, the intern will assist in developing standard work instructions, organizing quality data, supporting supplier evaluations, and ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards. This internship will begin in the summer of 2026.

Requirements

  • Current college junior/senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or related technical fields.
  • Must have at least a 2.8 GPA (3.0 or 3.2+ preferred)
  • Must be involved in at least 1 extra-curricular activity or volunteer activity
  • General computer skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
  • Ability to analyze data and decipher information
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Provides general, entry-level support to the quality department.
  • Assists in the creation, documentation, and implementation of Quality Management System processes under the guidance of senior quality staff.
  • Performs basic laboratory tests and helps cover routine QA testing during team member absences, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with test procedures.
  • Contributes to drafting, revising, and organizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions to support consistent quality practices.
  • Supports the implementation and maintenance of supplier quality processes, including gathering data, tracking compliance, and assisting in communication with suppliers.
  • Helps compile and updates raw material specifications by gathering technical information and assisting with documentation control.
  • Collects and organizes supplier performance data to assist in preparing supplier scorecards and evaluation summaries.
  • Assists in updating and organizing customer-specific requirements to ensure the quality team has accurate, accessible documentation.
  • Enters, tracks, and maintains quality data in spreadsheets and databases to support reporting and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assists with the preparation of training materials and scheduling training sessions for employees.
  • Helps organize, track, and purge retain samples in accordance with company policies and retention guidelines.
