About The Position

Wavelynx is seeking a Quality Inspector to be our frontline of defense for product excellence. You will ensure all incoming components, from injection molded plastics to complex PCBAs, and finished products, meet our rigorous engineering and quality standards. This role requires a high degree of technical proficiency in both mechanical and electrical inspection within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Schedule: This is a full-time, 5-day-in-office position at our Broomfield headquarters.

Requirements

  • Education: bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or technical discipline; equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in quality inspection, document control, and engineering data management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Expert-level proficiency with CMM programming (Mitutoyo, Keyence, Zeiss, Hexagon, or Starrett).
  • Strong knowledge of IPC-A-610 for PCBA and cable harness inspection.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Tool Proficiency: Highly skilled with Digital Multimeters (DMM), Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, X-ray inspection systems, and Leak Testers.
  • Software: Previous experience with PLM systems and MRP systems.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, learns quickly/open to change
  • Project Management: Ability to handle tight deadlines; sets specific goals and objectives; ability to plan for the length and difficulty of assignments; ability to break down projects
  • Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Collaboration: A cooperative, team player, trusted and supported by peers
  • Problem Solving: Capacity to identify complex problems and evaluate options to implement effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of general manufacturing operations

  • Proficiency in algebra and geometry, able to develop and produce effective analysis and reporting
  • Frequent use of personal computers, MS Office, statistical s/w and office equipment
  • Manual Handling: Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Environment: Comfortable working 100% in-office in the Broomfield-based manufacturing headquarters.

Nice To Haves

  • Quality or Configuration Management certifications (ASQ, CMPIC, CMII, or equivalent).
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing NetSuite MRP for inventory or quality tracking.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 certified quality management system.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Inspection: Perform detailed inspections of mechanical parts, injection-molded plastics, wall-mounted plates, and labels/barcodes against engineering drawings and artwork.
  • Electrical & PCBA Testing: Conduct PCBA inspection and testing in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards; verify cable harnesses and electronic assemblies using bench equipment.
  • Metrology Leadership: Operate and program CMM equipment (Zeiss, Mitutoyo, Keyence, Hexagon, etc.) and utilize a wide array of precision tools, including calipers, micrometers, and surface plates.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate quality records in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and utilize Arena PLM and NetSuite MRP for tracking.
  • Non-Conforming Material: Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials; communicate findings clearly to engineering and manufacturing teams to drive resolution.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and inspection documentation in accordance with internal CM policies and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and design teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure accurate configurations are maintained throughout the build process.
  • Review and verify documentation packages for compliance, ensuring that all work instructions and test procedures are followed.
