About The Position

Our history dates back to 1905, when we began to produce castings in Elyria, Ohio, for the machine tool, gas engine and other industries. Our Hodge Foundry location began operation in 1876 and built a reputation for quality casting from its Greenville, Pennsylvania location. The two foundries joined to form a single company in 2008, which is today known as Elyria Foundry. We are a fast-paced, technically advanced, customer-focused operation creating high-quality, American-made products and we’re looking for individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to the Team! Position: Quality Inspector Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Requirements

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance.
• Understanding of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction of a casting.
• Visualization of how something may look after it is moved or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
• The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (i.e. patterns of numbers, letters, words pictures or mathematical operations).
• Attention to quality requirements is essential.
• Must be able to read, write and follow detailed instructions.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished product for conformance to customer specifications.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspection of castings and MPT testing, as required.
• Document any defective product and report to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
