Requirements

  • Accredited HS Diploma or GED and 0 to 1 year of inspection experience required in the manufacturing of aerospace components/assemblies
  • Ability to effectively interact/communicate with all disciplines
  • Ability to read and speak English proficiently required in order to perform the job
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent attention to details

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Boeing Specifications & Blueprints preferred
  • Preferred candidate will have working knowledge of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
  • Able to understand shop mathematics to interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, and Inspection procedures
  • Ability to use inspection tools such as, scales, thickness gauges, micrometers, calipers, go no-go gauges, dial indicators, and split ball gauges
  • Willing to work any shift
  • Available to work overtime as required, including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Inspects Assemblies/detail parts for compliance to applicable drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements
  • Documents discrepancies per applicable procedures
  • Works from engineering drawings, blueprints, quality procedures and instructions, manufacturing specifications and procedures, operation and work sheets, electronic data and verbal instructions
  • Uses precision measuring instruments in performing assigned quality tasks
  • Maintains necessary documentation and records
  • Monitors and implement adherence to all safety and department procedures, practices and directives
  • Other related duties as assigned
