Requirements

Preferred Experience in quality inspection within metal fabrication, machining, or related manufacturing industries.
Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and ability to read technical drawings.
Ability to use precision hand tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
Strong attention to detail & problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency.
Ability to work independently & in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
Adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Accountability and ownership of work and inspection results.
Open-minded attitude with a willingness to learn, grow, and continuously improve.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

FAIRS knowledge
Experience with mechanical gauge calibration
Familiarity with CMMs

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, CMMs).
Interpret design drawings & specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Perform raw material inspections and verify conformance.
Inspect first-piece and in-process production to maintain high-quality standards.
Approve finished products by confirming specifications, performing visual & measurement tests, and ensuring rework is completed correctly.
Document inspection results accurately in reports and logs.
Collaborate with production teams to address non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 & AS9100 standards (FAIRS knowledge a plus).
Assist with mechanical gauge calibration (experience a plus).
