Summary As a Quality Inspector, you will inspect finished products, components, or materials. You will ensure, they meet quality standards and specifications.

Requirements

  • Be detail oriented and able to identify and report on any non-conformances or defects
  • Be able to operate inspection equipment particularly CMMs
  • Be able to read and interpret technical specifications and blueprints
  • Be willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
  • Written Communications - Is able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles; can get messages across that have the desired effect.
  • Priority Setting - Spends his/her time and the time of others on what’s important; quickly zeros in on the critical few and puts the trivial many aside; can quickly sense what will help or hinder accomplishing a goal; eliminates roadblocks; creates focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with programming Vision Systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting visual inspections of products to identify defects
  • Using various tools and equipment to measure and test product quality
  • Documenting inspection results and communicating them to appropriate personnel
  • Approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products
  • Developing comprehensive inspection plans.
  • Driving the operation and programming of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), both manual and Direct Computer Control (DCC) using CMM Manager.
  • Spearheading correlation studies and Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (Gauge R&R).
  • Overseeing general inspection activities.
  • Delivering concise and actionable feedback on nonconformities via the Non-Conforming Material
  • Communicate nonconformities using the Non-Conforming Material Reports system.
  • Participate in ISO 9001 audits.
