About The Position

As a Quality Inspector at Central Moloney, you play a critical role in ensuring the production of high-quality transformers by meticulously evaluating and validating manufacturing processes. Your expertise in quality control contributes to the construction of reliable and top-notch products.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Display good verbal and written communication skills.
Good manual dexterity and physical stamina for repetitive tasks.
Possess strong mathematical & problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret specifications and technical drawings.
Proficiency using basic measuring tools (calipers, rulers, tape measures, gauges).
Experience with quality control tools and techniques.
Familiarity with quality systems, procedures, and documentation.
Strong attention to detail, time management and quality control skills.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and dust.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
PPE: Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.
Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.

Electrical testing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Inspect materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Perform various testing procedures on transformers, including electrical and mechanical tests, to validate functionality and performance.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results and testing procedures.
Use precision measuring instruments, such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers, to verify that components meet specified dimensional requirements.
Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Investigate and analyze product defects or non-conformities, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with production teams to communicate quality standards and address any issues or concerns.
Strictly adhering to safety guidelines and procedures, promoting a secure working environment.
Undertake additional quality-related duties as assigned, showcasing your versatility and commitment to excellence.
