About The Position

As a Quality Inspector at Central Moloney, you play a critical role in ensuring the production of high-quality transformers by meticulously evaluating and validating manufacturing processes. Your expertise in quality control contributes to the construction of reliable and top-notch products.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Display good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good manual dexterity and physical stamina for repetitive tasks.
  • Possess strong mathematical & problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency using basic measuring tools (calipers, rulers, tape measures, gauges).
  • Experience with quality control tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with quality systems, procedures, and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and quality control skills.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and dust.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
  • Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
  • PPE: Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.
  • Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
  • Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
  • Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
  • Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical testing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform various testing procedures on transformers, including electrical and mechanical tests, to validate functionality and performance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results and testing procedures.
  • Use precision measuring instruments, such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers, to verify that components meet specified dimensional requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Investigate and analyze product defects or non-conformities, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to communicate quality standards and address any issues or concerns.
  • Strictly adhering to safety guidelines and procedures, promoting a secure working environment.
  • Undertake additional quality-related duties as assigned, showcasing your versatility and commitment to excellence.
