We are currently seeking a person who identifies strongly with our mission and core values to join our team in Seattle as Quality Inspector II for our Aerospace division. The ideal candidate will have three plus years of aerospace inspection or aerospace manufacturing experience, have thorough knowledge of inspection devices and tools, and have strong computer and data entry skills utilizing programs such as Microsoft Suite and Oracle. Please Note: The chosen candidate should also have experience with bond and ground, fay seal, and torque values. Purpose: Performs various inspections to determine acceptability of manufactured products.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Shop math required.
  • 3+ years Aerospace inspection or Aerospace manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with GD&T.
  • Thorough knowledge of inspection devices and tools required.
  • Strong PC skills such as Microsoft Suite and data entry.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to follow clear instructions and provide prompt feedback or results.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Ability to work schedule as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced inspection courses (college level) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects and determines acceptability per customer requirements.
  • Performs receiving, first part, in-process, first article and final inspections.
  • Understands customer requirements and assures compliance to standards.
  • Verify that all required documentation is completed to assure process control.
  • Ability to perform inspections on aerospace assemblies and has knowledge of customer requirements for Sealant, Ground and Bond, Rivets, Eddy Current and Hardness Testing.
  • Assists Quality Engineer and others on corrective action.
  • Participate in lean/process improvement activities.
  • Provide training and support to Quality Inspector I.
  • Continuing education classes will be required.
  • Audits procedures for adherence to standards.
  • Ability to detect problems and confer with lead or supervisor to resolve.
  • Ensures the adherence to company safety and health standards, policies and procedures by monitoring personnel, machinery and work environment.
  • Immediately notify supervisor and/or Safety Manager of any safety and health concerns and problems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
