Niacc-Avitech Technologies is currently seeking an experienced Aerospace Quality Control Inspector. This is a challenging position in a fast-paced environment. As a member of our quality team, you will provide valuable support to our managers and team members in accordance with company goals. Position Summary The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting aircraft components during receiving, in-process, and final stages to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, approved technical data, and company quality procedures.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station environment.
  • A&P License preferred or prior Repairman Certificate experience.
  • Familiarity with PMA parts, approved data, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation and data entry skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must pass near vision (Jaeger J1 / Snellen 20/25) and color vision (Ishihara) screening.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Clear handwriting.
  • Ability to efficiently use a computer to enter data and look up information.
  • Ability to read and interpret Blueprints accurately.
  • Ability to generate inspection programs utilizing the inspection equipment available to them (i.e. comparator, hi-pot etc.)
  • Ability to stand at an inspection bench/counter for a few hours at a time each day.

Nice To Haves

  • A&P License preferred or prior Repairman Certificate experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of aircraft components using FAA-approved or accepted data.
  • Assist in audits which includes internal audits, AS9100 compliance audits, and ensuring compliance with appropriate regulations and internal controls.
  • Ensure FAA compliance and assist with special projects, interfacing with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Manufacturing and Engineering departments as and where needed.
  • Document inspection results in accordance with the Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, and customer requirements.
  • Verify airworthiness, traceability, and proper use of PMA or approved replacement parts.
  • Identify and control nonconforming or unserviceable parts to prevent return to service.
  • Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance with FAA and AS9100 quality requirements.
  • Work with Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to ensure inspection requirements are met.
