About The Position

The Quality Inspector II is responsible for performing moderately complex dimensional inspection of standard parts, units, or materials to ensure conformance with specifications utilizing various measuring and testing equipment. This includes quality inspections for incoming inspections, in process inspections and final inspections. In addition, this position is responsible for issuing quality alerts and collaborating with the manufacturing team to establish targets and limit samples to be used by operators. Job Responsibilities: Perform process audits per defined control plans and react to non-conformances. Use various gauging devices to measure, inspect, and test product to ensure conformance with engineering drawing specifications and other material/finished good standards. Program and utilize advanced measurement tools such as Vision Systems and CMM (coordinate measurement machine). Document inspection results using quality software, Excel, or SharePoint. Analyze inspection results with product stakeholders and follow non-conformance procedures for product containment and disposition. Participate in problem solving teams. Collect data for PPAP (production part approval process) first article, capability, and target samples. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to establish limit samples to be used by operators. Write inspection work instructions. Issue quality alerts.1 Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, complying with established 6S standards. Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work. Job Qualifications Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of related work experience are required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and quality control software. Excellent time‐management, attention to detail, and multi‐tasking skills in a fast‐paced environment.Ability to problem‐solve and make decisions per work instructions and documents.Ability to communicate with team members through verbal and written form. Ability to demonstrate basic math skills and use/test measuring equipment including, but not limited to, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, Rockwell hardness tester, optical comparator and templates, torque testing machine, gauge pins and blocks, and metallurgical equipment such as wet saws, grinders, and sample mounting equipment.
