About The Position

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products, components, and materials meet established quality standards and specifications. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining product integrity, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret technical specifications.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience with quality control
  • IPC-A-610 (PCBA visual inspection) visual certification.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-883 for die inspection
  • Knowledge of AS9102 first article process
  • Knowledge of MRB process
  • Must be proficient with mechanical parts inspection
  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and possess basic computer knowledge to perform job successfully
  • Due to U.S. export control laws and defense contract requirements, applicants must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder)

Responsibilities

  • Performs receiving: mechanical and test inspections on various parts: piece parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies. Accepts or rejects material based on drawing/specifications. Records results on multiple forms and records. In addition, inputs inspection results data into an electronic log.
  • Compares part number of items received with Procurement Data Packing Slips and Material Certification Compliance
  • Performs First Article and dimensional inspection, using the Engineering drawings and specifications, precision measuring instruments, and devices as required
  • Inspection results on First Article forms.
  • Verify plating with Production by requesting plated parts be test before acceptance.
  • Maintains discrepant material, records problem(s) on Rejection Reports and enters results into SAP for Material Review Board (MRB) reviews.
  • Works with Manufacturing to review discrepant material and take corrective actions with suppliers to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Works with Manufacturing to review discrepant material and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Works with the Manufacturing Engineer on problems found during Production and relate them.
  • Interacts with Purchasing Department to review/discuss 1st Articles result
