About The Position

Ascentec is hiring! Do you have strong attention to detail skills? We are looking for Quality Inspectors to join our team! These are critical positions within the company and present a great opportunity for someone to provide final assurance to all our valued customers that their products are being provided with the highest level of quality possible. Please note that preference will be given to candidates that have experience working in a manufacturing setting, but this is not required. Shifts available: Day Shift : Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; and Swing Shift : Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. You will earn an industry leading hourly shift differential for the swing shift. Both positions are full-time and eligible for benefits. Please note that these positions are onsite (not remote/not hybrid) and not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret internal and customer provided mechanical prints including GD&T
  • Basic experience with a wide variety of metrology equipment including Optical comparator, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.
  • Visual Product Inspections – Surface Cosmetics of Plated/Painted and bare material parts
  • Generate Clear and concise Non-conformance Reports
  • Ability to work overtime

  • Applicant must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check prior to employment.
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with operating manual and/or automated CMM a plus
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior machinist experience

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, In-process and Final inspections
  • Primary operator for the dedicated metrology equipment – Optical comparator etc.
