The Quality Inspector is responsible for testing and inspecting products and raw materials throughout various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality standards. The scheduled hours for this position is Monday - Friday, 6:00am-2:35pm, with overtime as needed. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that products meet both internal and external customer requirements by identifying non-conformance issues, taking corrective action, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. Using production and technical expertise, the Quality Inspector partners closely with production teams to resolve quality issues, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold the Quality Management System.

  • Perform thorough and independent final inspections of finished assemblies following documented procedures; formally report all defects.
  • Develop and maintain Quality Control Checklists for all operations, processes, critical dimensions, and attributes of standard products.
  • Conduct inspections and audits at all stages of the manufacturing process, from components to final builds.
  • Alert relevant stakeholders to defects or deviations from critical dimensions or processes.
  • Investigate assigned quality issues, document nonconformances or deviations, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Report issues to the Quality Supervisor, Quality Manager, Engineering, and Production Supervisors; escalate unresolved issues to senior leadership as needed.
  • Participate in inspection and production meetings to support action planning for improved build quality.
  • Partner with Production Supervisors to train and instruct employees in proper construction and fabrication techniques.
  • Support and reinforce compliance with the Quality Management System.
  • Recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards to enhance performance.
  • Utilize Quality tools such as Non-Conformance Reports and Engineering Change Requests.
  • Complete all quality documentation within work order binders and ensure production teams follow quality procedures.
  • Assist with nonconformance, deviation, and corrective action processes.
  • One year of related quality experience or training, or equivalent education/experience strongly preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in a build-to-suit, non-automated manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001 or similar frameworks.
  • Basic computer proficiency; ability to write and edit documents.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Strong technical understanding of manufacturing methods, processes, and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; able to train others in fabrication techniques and quality procedures.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and read/comprehend work instructions.
  • Proficient in basic math, including geometry; able to measure accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dedicated; willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Able to maintain professional relationships with co-workers, vendors, and clients.
  • Demonstrates respect, professionalism, and teamwork; supports an inclusive environment.
