About The Position

Hiring Quality Inspector in Odessa, TX! The Quality Control Personnel is responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and services meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This role involves performing inspections, documenting results, identifying non-conformances, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maintain compliance with internal procedures and applicable regulations.Job Description Perform routine and incoming inspections of materials, components, and finished products Perform NDTs when fully competent and when required. Verify compliance with quality standards, specifications, drawings, and procedures Record inspection results accurately and maintain quality documentation Identify, report, and assist in investigating non-conforming products or processes Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) Ensure measuring and testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained Support internal and external audits by providing records and inspection data Follow safety policies, quality procedures, and company standards Communicate quality issues promptly to supervisors and relevant departments Support continuous improvement and Lean/quality initiatives You are meant for this job if: High School diploma or equivalent GED (associate degree preferred) Previous experience in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing/repair (1-3 years preferred) The Quality Control personnel will be mainly in a shop environment under semi-controlled temperature and humidity. However sometimes it will be required to travel to the field under different conditions. In addition, around 25% of their time will be spent in an office environment with a computer. Some hazards may be present, so full attention to their surroundings is critical and we expect they exercise SWA often to prevent injuries and accidents.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED (associate degree preferred)
  • Previous experience in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing/repair (1-3 years preferred)
  • Trade Apprenticeship/ Certificate or equivalent / technical background
  • 2 years of experience
  • Welding / Non-Destructive Testing related experience and / or qualification (highly desired)
  • Demonstrable work experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control
  • Knowledgeable in ISO 9001, API Q2, industry standards
  • Auditing experience
  • Demonstrate exceptional effective communication and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, motivate, and inspire others
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to persuade and influence others on an initiative-taking basis
  • Team player.

  • Ability to develop, improve and implement processes, procedures.
  • LEAN/Six Sigma Management Skills
  • Self-driven and motivated

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of manufacturing, repair, refurbishment of wellhead and associated equipment (desirable)
  • Lead Auditor – ISO 9001, API Q2 (desirable)
  • Product knowledge of TechnipFMC products (desirable)
  • NDT certs is highly desirable
  • ERP knowledge (SAP), Intelex (desired)
