About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Quality, the Quality improvement coordinator position is responsible for coordinating quality management efforts including development, implementation, education, data collection, and analysis. This job description is intended to identify some of the primary duties and responsibilities. Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (word, excel, power point)
  • Strong clinical background and knowledge base required.
  • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles, practices, methods, and tools.
  • Knowledge of computer applications related to QI, including spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of medical records and clinical care processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates and/or bachelor’s degree in applicable field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Helps Director of Quality (DOQ) to plan, design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive district wide continuous quality improvement (CQI) program including State and managed care QIP and ACHC accreditation.
  • Assists in educating new staff, about QI systems and requirements.
  • Meets with internal stakeholders to identify and problem solve QI issues.
  • Monitors district efforts to ensure compliance with internal and external QI standards.
  • Reviews medical records and other documentation to ensure quality care
  • Helps to prepare annual QI report.
  • Assists in coordinating the effort to gather data and prepare reports to meet the requirements of ACHC and other regulatory/accrediting agencies, including patient satisfaction data.
  • Assists in evaluating variance and other data to identify QI opportunities and risk management issues.
  • Assists in monitoring service quality through, HEDIS quality measures, payer/provider/patient satisfaction surveys, and complaints.
  • Collaborates on results with DOQ for CQI efforts.
  • Attend Quality and QIP meetings, and conferences (virtually and in Person).
  • Ability to educate staff in both verbal and written form about QI in formal and informal settings.
  • Ability to interact effectively with health care team members.
  • Ability to analyze QI data and identify trends and corrective actions.
