About The Position

The QI Coordinator performs activities in five key areas: (1) QI program management, including administration and continuous process improvement. (2) Driving clinical quality improvement activities. (3) Internal coordination of clinical quality improvement activities. (4) Support of QI Program administration activities. (5) Provides mentoring, training, and skills transfer to all levels of the organization on the use and practice of performance improvement tools and methodologies. (6) Utilizes a framework of Human Factors Engineering to assist teams in development of effective and sustainable solutions aimed at improving patient safety, quality of care, and service. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Public Health, Public Administration, Health Administration or Management, Adult Education, or a clinically related field.
  • California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire
  • Experience in project management, program evaluation, team facilitation, data analysis, and/or medical management.
  • 1 year Experience in project coordination/management.
  • 1 year Quality management/quality improvement experience.
  • Strong experience in Excel functions, PowerPoint presentation developing, including graph/chart functions within these programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree Public Health, Public Administration, Health Administration or Management, Adult Education, or a clinically related field.
  • Or 1 year of experience in healthcare or health plan quality management, quality improvement or project management.
