The Quality Generalist (location RESIDENCE BASED; Remington IN, Constantine MI, Windfall IN, and/or Matthews MO) is responsible for driving the ISO, quality, sampling, stewardship compliance, and related programs supporting Field production activities; ensuring quality and alignment with applicable procedures. Additionally, the Quality Generalist is responsible for overseeing and support of the Field manufacturing of quality products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years’ experience in applicable area OR High School Diploma and 7 years applicable experience
  • Valid Driver's License. To be eligible to drive a company car, your driving record must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers – MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening​
  • Able to prioritize work schedule
  • Demonstrates some ability to work independently​
  • Ability to support others in completing assigned tasks​
  • Follows policies and procedures​
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. (a bag of seed)​
  • Ability to work during days, nights, rotating shifts, weekends and overtime as business needs require​

Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for all areas of quality including product, process, and system quality for field operations.
  • Own manufacturing document control for quality; ensure that Row Crop Production teams are putting the customer first by partnering with Regional Quality, Manufacturing Excellence, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to ensure key critical parameters are in place to deliver the product right the first time.
  • Support complaint management by determining corrective action processes and ensuring follow up; measure and report the “Cost of Poor-Quality” occurrences.
  • Accountable for ensuring stewardship processes are understood and being utilized throughout manufacturing and reporting occurs as expected.
  • Assure departmental and cross functional disciplines are trained in all aspects of quality.
  • Be accountable for all lab operations, ensuring that processes are executed accurately, and operational goals and metrics are met.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders and operate as key point of contact for quality related matters including best practice sharing.
  • Maintain a Quality Management System on site according to external and internal requirements.
  • Generate Field Quality Management reviews.
  • Ensure that the specifications/regulations in the ISO systems are implemented in the Field.
  • Support effective internal audit program of on-site support implementation of respective global and regional quality initiatives, programs, and regulations.
