How Will You Make an Impact? As a Quality Technician II on 2nd shift at our Auburn Hills, MI facility, you will provide advanced technical support to the Quality Engineering team through data analysis, documentation development, and quality review activities. You will help identify and resolve quality issues, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with quality standards. Your work will directly support manufacturing quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. Location: On‑site at our Auburn Hills, MI facility. Shift: 2nd Shift

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Experience in engineering or technical disciplines preferred.
  • Strong reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
  • Advanced PC skills, including proficiency with programs used at Jabil.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data and prepare quality reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to speak effectively with employees and customers.
  • Strong time‑management skills with the ability to work under tight and frequently changing deadlines.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; may occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Time spent on the manufacturing floor, attending meetings, and interacting with employees, management, and customers.
  • Specific vision requirements include reading documentation and frequent use of a computer monitor.
  • Safety glasses and steel‑toed shoes are required in manufacturing, receiving inspection, receiving, stockroom, and shipping areas.

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, CQT) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection, preparation, and analysis of quality data.
  • Create and maintain quality documentation including PPAPs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, First Article Inspections, and FAPs.
  • Support Quality Engineers with PQ Protocol and PQ Report activities.
  • Complete daily MRB signoff and daily QA reject reviews.
  • Prepare quality reports, quality alerts, and update quality procedures and documentation.
  • Track, summarize, and support investigation of quality concerns, process defects, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Assist with process capability studies.
  • Support continuous improvement through participation in CAC and QIC meetings.
  • Work safely at all times and comply with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards and work practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with company policies.
