Are you ready to take on a leadership role in Lockheed Martin Space? As a Quality Engineering Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing production quality teams responsible for inspection and process oversight for the Orion Crew Module at Michoud Assembly facility. This position requires flexibility and variety, as you will be overseeing a team that works across multiple functions of space production including: welding, mechanical assembly, bonding, wiring, testing and many others.

Requirements

  • Quality Engineering Experience
  • AS9100 Compliance and Audits

Nice To Haves

  • team lead or previous supervisor experience
  • Working knowledge of mechanical assembly, experience in aerospace is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct a team of production quality employees, assigning tasks and ensuring proper execution.
  • Drive build plans and implement changes to improve quality, schedule adherence, and cost performance.
  • Foster a culture of First Time Right (FTR) and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention.
  • Ensure that employees maintain required certifications for specialized tasks.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment, addressing any unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Enforce compliance with Core processes and program-specific procedures.
  • Proactively identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and technical competencies.
  • Collaborate with Labor Relations and Human Resources to address skill gaps, training needs, and employee engagement.
