Requirements

  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
  • Good organizational, planning and follow-up skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Attending an accredited college/university and will be continuing your education after the internship.
  • You must be working towards a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Management.
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0

Responsibilities

  • Auditing and validating current parts labelling and traceability, and helping to improve the process
  • Helping to create standard work procedures as well as updating and revising per ISO standards
  • Developing a layout MRB non-conformance process
  • Investigating failures along with the quality engineers to enable out of box thinking
  • Developing statistical methodologies like Cpk and gauge R and R studies
  • Developing paint coupon inspections process and Test Area
  • Helping to improve the calibration process by harmonizing schedules
  • Keeping management informed on current workload, issues and future assignments
  • Adhering to company work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing professional staff behavior
  • Adhering to company and professional ethics governing the handling of confidential information and the observation of confidentiality
  • Maintaining professional relationships with company employees, clients and customers, both internally and externally
  • Representing the company professionally in all interactions both internally and externally
