Discover more at https://www.connectpositronic.com/en/ Summary Supports the Quality and Engineering teams in reviewing, updating, and standardizing the Global Work Standard (S-001) to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with current operational, quality, and regulatory requirements. This internship provides practical experience in process documentation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives within a global manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Regular walking, standing, sitting, climbing, bending, and crouching.
  • May lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Use of hand tools, technical equipment, and standard office technology.
  • Understanding of quality management systems and documentation control principles.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing or engineering processes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to quality standards.
  • Awareness of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of document version control and standardized formatting practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for drafting and revising technical documents.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documentation.
  • Analytical skills to identify process gaps, redundancies, and inconsistencies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint (or similar platforms).
  • Organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset for working with cross-functional and global teams.
  • Ability to understand and apply quality and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to interpret complex procedures and simplify them for end users.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to maintain focus and thoroughness during detailed document reviews.

  • Position requires candidate to be a U.S. person as defined in ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status) and defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a) (20).

Responsibilities

  • Review existing Global Work Standard (S-001) documentation for accuracy and relevance.
  • Update procedures to reflect current processes, equipment, and best practices.
  • Identify and eliminate redundancies or inconsistencies across global sites.
  • Enhance usability by improving document formatting, structure, and language clarity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate process updates and ensure alignment.
  • Ensure revised standards meet internal quality requirements and external regulatory expectations.
  • Develop a controlled framework for maintaining future updates and revisions.
  • Document findings, revisions, and recommendations throughout the project.
  • Support the implementation and communication of the updated standard.
  • Uphold Positronic’s standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator.
  • Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.
  • Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
