About The Position

The role of the Quality Engineering & Test Manager is to manage a diverse group of engineers in support of Manufacturing Operations and Quality, and to lead discussions with customer representatives. This will involve having expert knowledge in system design, cable performance, network element functionality and component engineering, as well as in-depth knowledge of Manufacturing Operations and processes. This job requires an individual who is a current manager or a high caliber engineer who can adapt those skills to a managerial position. Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical or Physics, plus 10 years of experience, advanced degree is preferred (MS / MBA)
  • Ability to drive teamwork in cross-functional disciplines
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills at all levels from the shop floor to top management
  • Proficiency and demonstrated ability to make independent, informed decisions
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles
  • Strong communication, technical writing, computer, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence business direction
