Requirements

A result driven, motivated person with ability to work in a high-performance manufacturing environment

Critical thinker, with excellent analytical abilities and technical understanding.
Good written and oral communication skills.

Ability to motivate and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
BS degree minimum, preferably in an engineering or technical field.
Min of 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (quality preferred).
Proven ability to work in a team setting and a strong floor presence.
Experience with Microsoft Office Programs

Nice To Haves

Lean/Six Sigma Education is a plus
Quality systems auditing is a plus
ASQ Certification in Quality Engineering is a plus
Experience with wire and cable, metallurgy of steel tubing is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain effective systems to achieve goals and objectives.
Maintain records to demonstrate compliance with regulatory and industry requirements.
Evaluate process capability, sampling plans and adjust as needed.
Communicate quality performance metrics.
Lead / support associates to effectively perform required testing and reporting of quality data.
Evaluate trends using statistical analysis and collaborate with other departments in the development of corrective actions.
Investigate, evaluate, and report returned product from customers. Collaborate to identify corrective actions.
Interact with customer visits (offsite or onsite) as needed.
Lead plant efforts to maintain quality requirements and certification.
Identify and lead continuous improvement projects.
Perform related duties as directed by the Quality Manager.
Develop / qualify (MSA) inspection, measuring and test equipment as needed.
Interact with suppliers as needed for audits, certifications and purchased material concerns.
Lead various activities to support new processes and business.
Serve as internal auditor for the NA MS.
Support various interactions with customers (audits, Third Party Inspections, Preproduction reviews, etc.)
