About The Position

The Quality Engineer will provide quality assurance support to the product development team, resolving bugs, defects, and other potential issues and ensuring that products meet customer specifications. The Quality Engineer will ensure products meet the organizations and customers’ quality and product integrity requirements. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this person will be supporting product development or operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline required.
  • 3+ years of related experience required.
  • Strong ability in reading and interpreting complex drawings/blueprints to understand parameters of components/products.
  • Knowledgeable about current quality system standards such as ISO 9001 preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support.
  • Familiarity with basic GD&T preferred.
  • Computer proficiency in Excel and Word required.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of effective corrective actions through robust root cause analysis and facilitation with process owners
  • Provide support to manufacturing to develop effective procedures/work instructions that meet the requirements of ISO9001 and other quality management standards
  • Customer Concern/Complaints/Query: Become actively involved in the root cause identification, corrective actions and preventative actions of customer issues
  • Supplier Management: Approval of suppliers establishing appropriate levels of control commensurate to the nature of the product supplied and the supplier capability; continuously improve the quality of externally supplied parts; manage the qualification of new parts or changes to parts
  • Root Cause, Corrective & Preventative Actions: Problem solving techniques, internal and supplier issues; establish robust RCCM through facilitation with process owners; drive improvements to products and processes through the use of performance data
