Quality Engineer
About The Position
We are seeking a highly driven Quality Engineer with a strong systems and compliance orientation to lead quality initiatives within a fast-paced, automotive-focused environment. This role is ideal for a quality professional who thrives in structured environments, understands regulatory rigor, and can confidently lead audits and cross-functional teams. Position Overview This role is heavily focused on quality systems ownership, audit leadership, and compliance execution. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and strengthening our Quality Management System while driving operational excellence.
Requirements
- Systems-driven with a structured, process-oriented mindset
- Audit-ready and confident interacting with customers and registrars
- Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail
- Leadership-focused with strong governance orientation
- Background in Tier 1 automotive manufacturing preferred
- Proven QMS and audit leadership experience
- Experience leading customer audits
- Comfortable managing and developing people
Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain compliance to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001/14001 standards
- Own and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Lead internal and external audits, including customer and registrar audits
- Execute and support APQP and PPAP processes
- Develop and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Capability Studies
- Lead cross-functional problem-solving initiatives
- Validate and manage supplier quality performance
- Manage and develop a team of 7 direct reports
