About The Position

MFC is seeking an Operations Quality Engineer (QE) for its Optical Components manufacturing center in Orlando, FL. This role requires quality engineering experience with a focus on electrical, optical, mechanical component assembly and integration testing. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related discipline with 2 or more years of professional experience, or 0 years of experience with Master's degree, or equivalent combined experience/education
  • Ability to obtain and hold a Secret security clearance
  • Must be a U.S. CITIZEN
  • GD&T Experience
  • SAP Experience
  • APRISO Experience
  • Root Cause Analysis experience (Cause Mapping, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.)
  • Demonstrated Presentation skills
  • Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102

Responsibilities

  • Developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions/procedures for the inspection and test of manufactured and procured products
  • Designing and analyzing inspection/test processes, mechanisms, and equipment
  • Evaluating product tests results, performing statistical analysis to assess risk on products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
  • Leads and / or participates on Failure Review Boards and other technical investigations.
  • Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards.
  • Develops and implements new inspection processes and automation methods.
  • Ensures effective corrective/preventive action to improve processes.
  • Performs special process assessments and audits procedures to ensure compliance to technical specifications, and ISO-9001 / AS9100 Industry standards.
  • Interfaces with customers, program personnel on quality related issues.
  • Makes the final decision on acceptability of product.
