About The Position

MFC is seeking an Operations Quality Engineer (QE) for its Optical Components manufacturing center in Orlando, FL. This role requires quality engineering experience with a focus on electrical, optical, mechanical component assembly and integration testing. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related discipline with 2 or more years of professional experience, or 0 years of experience with Master's degree, or equivalent combined experience/education
Ability to obtain and hold a Secret security clearance
Must be a U.S. CITIZEN

Root Cause Analysis experience (Cause Mapping, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.)
Demonstrated Presentation skills
Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102

Responsibilities

Developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions/procedures for the inspection and test of manufactured and procured products
Designing and analyzing inspection/test processes, mechanisms, and equipment
Evaluating product tests results, performing statistical analysis to assess risk on products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
Leads and / or participates on Failure Review Boards and other technical investigations.
Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards.
Develops and implements new inspection processes and automation methods.
Ensures effective corrective/preventive action to improve processes.
Performs special process assessments and audits procedures to ensure compliance to technical specifications, and ISO-9001 / AS9100 Industry standards.
Interfaces with customers, program personnel on quality related issues.
Makes the final decision on acceptability of product.
